Project Cote d’Ivoire 1.0 was a huge success!
The five of us are all back in the UK (in five healthy pieces!) and we are extremely pleased to say that our trip was a roaring success. Briefly:
- We climbed La Dent de Man, establishing the country’s first ever traditional route, Insomnie (E4 6a).
- We put up a load of bouldering routes (between f4 and f6C), opened up a load of projects and ticked a load of single-pitch traditional routes.
- Most importantly, we introduced the sport to about 40 students by taking them bouldering at their local crag.
What comes next?
We’ll be spending the coming months editing footage and writing a guide-book and trip report of our findings. Stay tuned, but here’s a teaser video to wet your appetites!
Hi there !
I’m Greg, I’m a french climber and I will go to Bouaké in Ivory Coast for 5 month from April. I’m looking for bouldering areas there, it’s apparently mostly flat and climbing is definitely not famous there. I would like to know if your guide will consider the area of Bouaké or not ? If’s the second option is right, could I ask you if you have any contact which might help me to find something to climb there 🙂 ?
Thank you in advance
Cheers
